Basic Information
In 1989, Bond University welcomed its first cohort of 322 students at its brand new, state-of-the-art campus on Queensland’s Gold Coast. Over the past 30 years, the university has grown to become Australia’s leading independent, not-for-profit university hosting 4,500 students and teaching a wide range of study areas including business, actuarial science, law, architecture and health sciences.
Bond offers a personalised academic environment that prepares students for success in their future careers. Bond students learn in world-class facilities from world-renowned academics, in smaller class sizes that allow our academics to be mentors, not just teachers. This personalised teaching philosophy is why we’ve been ranked #1 in Australia for student experience for the last 14 years.
Students at Bond are prepared for the global workforce by gaining international experience during their degrees, inside and outside the classroom. Bond programs take a worldview on teaching, and students have international opportunities from clinical placements in the Solomon Islands to Model UN competitions in Japan.
By undertaking three semesters per year in January, May and September, students complete their degrees earlier than their peers at other universities. Students can finish a Bachelor degree in 2 years or a Bachelor + Master degree in 3 years.
30 years down the track, over 26,000 graduates have proven the success of the Bond University formula. They’ve forged high-flying careers, working in more than 100 countries worldwide and in some of
the world’s most innovative start-ups, largest corporations and government organisations. The recent Federal Government’s 2019 Employer Satisfaction Survey again showed Bond is Australia’s top-ranked university for employer satisfaction with a rating of 94.6%.
