Academic Excellence Scholarships Recognising Outstanding Performance in Undergraduate Studies

• Academic Grade：Be enrolled in any year of any undergraduate degree at the University of Newcastle. Be enrolled in at least 40 units each semester. Have maintained continuous fulltime enrolment in your program. Students going into their second year of study must have completed 80 units of full-time study and be continuing into the second year of the same program. Students going into the third year of study must have completed 160 units of full-time study and be continuing into the third year of their program. Students going into the fourth year of study must have completed 240 units of full-time study and be continuing on in to the fourth year of their program (consideration may be given to end-on Honours). Students must have achieved a minimum GPA of Distinction average to be considered for this Scholarship (does not apply to Medicine programs with ungraded pass grades). Students must not hold a concurrent scholarship with UON of equal or higher value.

Col Whitehead Cricket Scholarship

• Academic Grade：Be enrolled in any year of any undergraduate or postgraduate degree at the University of Newcastle. Be a member of, and play cricket with the University of Newcastle Cricket Club. Be enrolled full-time. Demonstrate academic achievement either by an Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) or equivalent of 75 or higher for commencing students, or a Grade Point Average (GPA) of 5.0 for continuing students. Demonstrate impact of personal circumstances, such as carer, sole parent, financial hardship, English language difficulty, Indigenous Australian, long term medical condition or effects of abuse, disability, refugee status, regional/remote disadvantage. Not be the recipient of another University of Newcastle donor-funded or sponsored scholarship concurrently.

• Academic Grade：Be enrolled in the 2nd year or later in any eligible engineering undergraduate program offered by the Faculty of Engineering and Built Environment and have successfully completed a minimum of 60 units of study at Callaghan campus. Be enrolled full-time. Be willing to go on exchange with a Global E3 partner institution in either Semester 1 or 2, and within 12 months of the scholarship offer. Be able to demonstrate academic performance with a Cumulative WAM of 65 (refer selection details).
