Course Description
1. Enter the workforce as skilled and knowledgeable professional archaeologists or cultural heritage managers who are able to reflect critically on their own practice;
2. Understand the requirements of undertaking archaeological fieldwork and employ a wide range of technical and research skills in archaeological projects;
3. Understand the nature of cultural heritage management practice and theory and be able to initiate, plan, implement and evaluate the management of cultural heritage in an archaeological context;
4. Review, synthesise and analyse major issues in Australian archaeology, cultural heritage management, conservation and professional archaeological practice; and
5. Undertake their work as independent professional archaeologists or cultural heritage managers in an ethical manner.
