In a challenging year, the University of Newcastle has maintained its position among the world’s Top 200 universities in the prestigious 2022 QS World University Rankings.
The University of Newcastle rank of 197 is unchanged from last year, demonstrating impressive stability in a volatile year.
Vice-Chancellor Professor Alex Zelinsky AO said that maintaining a top 200 ranking reflected the University’s unwavering focus on delivering excellence in teaching, learning and research in difficult circumstances.
This latest ranking provides further evidence that the University of Newcastle is well positioned to continue to make a positive impact across the globe.
Introducing UoN Colleges：
Effective from the beginning of 2021, our University's five Faculties have been merged into three Colleges. This change was made to encourage greater multidisciplinary collaboration, improve processes and operating efficiencies, and contribute to the long-term financial sustainability of the University. The three new Colleges are:
l College of Engineering, Science and Environment (previously the Faculty of Engineering and Built Environment, and Faculty of Science)
l College of Health, Medicine and Wellbeing (previously the Faculty of Health and Medicine)
l College of Human and Social Futures (previously the Faculty of Business and Law, and Faculty of Education and Arts)
